The Operational Group
The Operational Group are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Registry. Activities include the recruitment of clinical units and their patients using the web-based entry method and for establishing links with other databases e.g. those of registries, industry and large patient management systems. They will be responsible for all data management, financial issues, conduct of research studies, preparation of appropriate manuscripts including the writing of an annual report that will be submitted to the Advisory Board and which will also be published annually in Hemodialysis International.
The Operational Group will also be the first line of contact for groups wishing to carry out any studies that might utilize IQDR data. The input of the Scientific Committee will be sought before any such studies are approved and conducted (see Study Approval Process). For studies that were already underway prior to the implementation of the Scientific Committee and for future studies that are generated by the Operational Group, approval will not be required from the Scientific Committee but input from that committee into protocol, design and statistical methodologies may be requested. A continuing dialogue between the Operational Group and the Scientific Committee with regard to the scientific direction of IQDR will be expected.

The Operational Group is run by the IQDR co-principal investigators, Robert M Lindsay and Gihad E. Nesrallah.
